The world has lost another great pioneer in music and philanthropy. Lou Rawls, at the tender age of 72. He not only was a classic vocalist with a sound unparalleled to many, but he has a legacy that will live on mostly in the hearts of over 350,000 students he helped and enabled to succeed in colleges (black colleges) all around the country.- He was instrumental in raising more than $200 million dollars for the United Negro College Fund.
